"I have been with Mitek Corporation’s Atlas Sound group for about 8-years. I went through the tumultuous transition from the former parent company to Mitek. During that time, I was the Warehouse/Shipping Manager and I really dreaded my job. This was due to the dirty, disorganized mess that was, the warehouse. There was a large location called the "Black Hole", there were even fears some partners may have gone in and never came out. When Mitek took over 6-years ago, it was a crazy time; Loyd saw the "low hanging fruit" along with the many changes which had to be made to the culture and how things worked.
During the transition the IT manager left the company, vacating his position. As a favorite pastime, without any job history or degrees, simply a hobby; I asked the current COO if I could be considered for the position. His only question was, “Can you do it?” I said, "yes sir, I think I can.” Six years later I am still doing the job I love, "Information Technology". It has been one of the most exciting and rewarding things I have ever done. All because Mitek, by its very nature, allow people to take a risk and takes the risk with them.
By the way, that dirty disgusting warehouse has been turned into a very clean, orderly, and efficient machine any partner can be proud of. By empowering people to be owners of their world, Mitek allows them to do what every person wants to do; live and work in an environment that makes you feel comfortable to grow.
Thanks for the chance Mitek, I could never dream of being who I am today without your faith in me 6-years ago."
